With this approach Frazier might become a 12-15 hr guy, if this approach does not hurt his average then he might easily become one of the best on this team.

Moran’s fly ball profile is close to the league average one: 51 FBs, 11 pulled (5 homers), 20 straightaway (3 HRs) and 20 Oppo (0 homers). If he can get through the zone earlier and pull more fly balls, maybe he can be that 20+ home run guy. It’s hard seeing him being a viable major leaguer if he doesn’t hit at least that many.

It seems like Bell and Moran, two guys who aren’t built like slap-and-dash guys, seem to focus on hitting the ball the other way a great deal, especially so in Moran’s case. Having two guys at the infield corners who do not run well having ISO figures in the .125 range is not helpful, and if the Pirates are encouraging an approach that fosters that, then whoever is responsible needs to be shown the door.
