David Wells (53.6) was the only other WAR > 10.

The best second round of players that signed would belong to 1984 (WAR 246.6), with Maddux, Glavine and Al Leiter.

Second — yeah, 2nd will be peak position as Bonds 160 coupled w Larkins 70 (and palmiero’s) is unbeatable.

2005 is the 4th best first round ever, and soon to be the second. They will have a hard time catching up to the juicy class of 1985.

If I’m reading and sorting this correctly, though, isn’t 2005 the 4th most WAR overall and then 15th by the Top 5 players?
This is a great resource. Thank you.
