I appreciate the ‘clearing up’.

So if the Cutch ranks you cite are correct, his final appearance would be in the 26-50 bin. But keep in mind this currently goes through 2008 lists, so that bin may be different as of right now.

For example, Cutch between ’06 and ’09 ranked 50, 13, 14 and 33. Does his 6 team controlled years of fWAR get credited to each of those spots? Just his peak spot?

They could’ve kept Cole and Cutch, traded prospects for Yelich and signed Moustakas. I’m not so sure they wouldn’t be favored to win the division with that team on the field. Really my biggest criticism is that NH spends too much on bench/bullpen pieces and won’t trade prospects for verifiable MLB talent.

Hold onto prospects since so many fail or trading them away BECAUSE so many fail?

For me for me, bottom line is that I like having LOTS of prospects so that a) I can have them ready if needed and b) trade them when I am one or two pieces away.

As you state, NH is averse to ‘b’.
