Again, I agree, which is why he was in my “Negatives” section. I referred to him as PGH’s Austin Hedges, whose small AAA sample size aside, that’s not a compliment.

While we’re at it, another prospect I was never too high on, Reese McGuire. The hit tool just isn’t there. Thankfully his defense is plus, and I feel like his floor is a Major League backup. Its still concerning that he still hasn’t developed any power to this point.

I’m in the same camp as you. His pre-draft swing video had a ton of holes and your point about growing into power/growing out of SS is spot on. Not a fan of Tucker, but I’m definitely the low man on him at TPOP.

I still can’t get on the Cole Tucker bandwagon. Extremely empty batting average. I know, if he grows into his body his power could develop, but at the same time, if he grows into his body he would probably grow out of shortstop. That moves him to 3rd base where he’d probably be a cream puff at the corner position.
