But if the Pens have talks with Vegas about supplying a draft pick to NOT take Murray (let’s say it’s a 3rd round), then they trade the 3rd round pick to WPG in the deal. WPG then gives LV the pick prior to the draft to NOT take Hellebuyck. In essence, it’s a delayed 3-way trade. The Pens shed the salary to WPG, which is the 2nd biggest priority, and keep Murray.
